Alphonse shut his eyes tightly, feeling warm skin brushing against his chest, and smooth lips tracing a line down his throat.
He didn’t want to open his eyes to see the sweet, empty smile that Edward was offering him; those blank, violet cat-slit eyes that didn’t quite focus on anything at all or the mutilated flesh that wasn’t quite fused together correctly, with limbs and joints all in the wrong places.
He couldn’t live without his brother. It was selfish, but he couldn’t allow Ed to stay dead.
“I love you too, Brother,” he whispered back.

Although some people use that for "around 100 words" or "anything smaller than a ficlet". The correct definition is "100 word story", though. ^^;;
They're probably the shortest stories you'll find. Next up is ficlet, fic/one-shot, series, and arc. XD
